A Week in London: Meeting Law Firm Clients & Sharing Insights

Our Team Visits London: Catching Up with Clients, Creativity, and Conversations

Earlier this month, our CEO Joel and COO Ewelina headed to London for a productive few days of client meetings. The trip gave us the opportunity to catch up with both long-standing clients and those who have recently joined us, to see how their firms are progressing, and to discuss their plans, aspirations, and growth strategies.

Day 1: Meeting a Familiar Face in a New Place

Our first stop on Tuesday was with one of our law firm clients — a specialist in pre- and post-nuptial agreements and conveyancing — who originally started her firm in Manchester. She has recently merged with another practice in Blackfriars, expanding into immigration law to offer clients a broader range of services.

It was wonderful to see a familiar face in a new setting and to meet her new business partners. We spent a productive hour discussing campaign performance, new marketing strategies, and how we can help generate consistent enquiries across all areas of the firm’s services.

Day 2: From Start a Law Firm to a Growing Legal 500 Contender

Next, we met with one of our long-standing clients in Mayfair, who launched their firm through our Start a Law Firm service over three years ago.

We reflected on their impressive progress — expanding their team, increasing caseloads, and now setting their sights on Legal 500 recognition. It’s always rewarding to see a firm we helped build from the ground up continue to grow with ambition and direction.

During our meeting, we also discussed the importance of keeping websites technically and visually up to date — not just with content, but also with refreshed code and structure to align with Google’s and AI’s evolving search algorithms. A well-maintained website doesn’t just improve SEO; it also gives potential clients confidence in a firm’s professionalism and credibility.

We also helped the firm set up and optimise their Trustpilot and Google Review profiles, offering practical tips on how to collect authentic feedback efficiently. Reviews are now a key trust signal in Google’s ranking systems, so this step will help boost the firm’s online reputation and local visibility. We even managed to secure their first few reviews before leaving their office!

Day 3: A Day for Design and Inspiration

Thursday was our designated “creative day,” and we spent it exploring the Design Museum in Kensington, the world’s leading museum devoted to contemporary design in all its forms.

The museum’s diverse collection, from innovative transport and technology design to Bethan Laura Wood’s vibrant contemporary works, offered plenty of inspiration for our future branding and website design projects. We left feeling energised with new ideas and design concepts.

Later in the day, we enjoyed a stroll through the nearby gardens, explored Notting Hill, and ended our afternoon at the Victoria and Albert Museum, taking in its world-class displays of applied and decorative arts.

Day 4: Strategy, Systems, and Fresh Pastries in Richmond

On Friday, we visited another of our Start a Law Firm clients, this time based in Richmond. The team kindly came into the office on their work-from-home day, and together we reviewed their marketing and sales strategy.

Our discussion covered Google Ads campaigns, website performance, and new CRM and call-tracking tools we set up to improve data hygiene and campaign reporting. These systems will help the firm better understand where enquiries come from and how to maximise ROI.

We also talked about adding some physical marketing materials, such as branded door stickers and signage, which our design team will be creating in the coming months. We rounded off the meeting with fantastic pastries from a local bakery (thank you to the team for the treat!) and a shared enthusiasm for what’s ahead.

Wrapping Up in Brentford

To finish our trip, we met one of our long-standing clients in Brentford, who we’ve been working with since 2021. It was great to catch up in person and see how their business has evolved over the years.

Over a delicious Mediterranean lunch (and some exceptional baklava), we discussed AI’s growing role in marketing, as well as ways to refresh their website and enhance ongoing campaigns to stay ahead of competitors.

Final Thoughts

The week was a powerful reminder of the value of face-to-face collaboration. While virtual meetings have their place, sitting down with clients in person allows for deeper conversations, stronger relationships, and ideas that simply wouldn’t emerge on a video call.

We returned from London feeling energised, inspired, and proud to see our clients’ continued success, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
